Connecting You with the Wild Seas

I bring over 25 years of Arctic experience together with a deep respect for wildlife. I work closely with carefully selected operators to create meaningful, responsible encounters with orcas and whales.

I guide groups into their natural habitat — without pressure, staging, or guarantees. Every journey is shaped by the ocean, the weather, and the behavior of the animals themselves.

Join me for an experience built on knowledge, connection, and genuine marine encounters — where every moment is earned, and no two adventures are ever the same.

Why Choose to Dive In With Me?

I always let my fellow explorers go first. Not because I step back — but because their experience comes before my own. I guide, support, and read each situation carefully, ensuring everyone has the space to connect with the ocean safely and respectfully.

I position my groups for the best possible photographic opportunities, sharing timing, angles, and behavioral insight as moments unfold. At the same time, safety and responsibility toward both people and wildlife remain my constant priority.

My role is to understand the conditions — calm, controlled, and ethical — so something real can happen without pressure or disturbance.

Incredible Experiences with OrcaGuide

Andy Schmid
"Working with Tony was an amazing experience. He is without a doubt the best captain and guide I have ever worked with. Super professional and knowledgeable, with the right priorities set - always considering all safety-related factors for both humans and animals while still aiming for the best possible encounters.
As a guide myself, with many seasons of experience in Northern Norway, I’m usually deeply involved with the captain - constantly discussing where we might find whales, how to approach them responsibly, and when conditions are right for the best possible underwater encounters. The goal is always safe, respectful in-water interactions with whales.

With Tony, I had complete trust from day one. I could fully focus on my photography and preparations before and during being in the water, knowing that Tony was always making the right decisions and had my back while I was in the water. Thank you, Tony - I can’t wait for more of this."
Marco Invernizzi
"They say success happens when preparation meets opportunity. Tony is the best in the world at both of these crucial elements — the rare combination that turns orca diving dreams into reality, even in conditions that would discourage almost anyone else. His experience is simply unmatched, and his ongoing enthusiasm for the fine art of diving with orcas is limitless and unstoppable. He is — and always will be — the first and last person I want to see when I enter the waters of the fjords in Norway. Simple as that!"
Joan
"I'm 100% convinced Tony speaks fluent Orca, he has a sixth sense to throw you right in the middle of the action, all while keeping the vibe high with his non-stop jokes and drone skills. He works tirelessly to make you feel a truly epic story. He is the heart of the tour."

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our OrcaGuide experiences.

What kind of wildlife will we see?

On my trips, you’ll meet orcas and whales in their natural habitat — and quite often, sea eagles will glide in close, sharing the same wild space.

How many participants per trip?

To keep every experience personal, I work with small groups — usually a maximum of 12 participants — supported by two in-water guides across two Zodiacs.

What should I bring for the trip?

For land excursions, dress warm using the “layer-on-layer” principle. In the water, we use 7 mm wetsuits — available to rent if you don’t bring your own. We also provide an out-of-water poncho to protect you from wind and spray while traveling by Zodiac.

For topside camera gear, I recommend a small hard case or at least a waterproof bag. For underwater camera equipment, a standard-size soft cooler bag works perfectly for transport and protection.

Are trips suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. All experience levels are welcome — with safety-first guidance for anyone new to marine encounters.
